2007/2008 Aurora Season off to a great start!

Once again the dark nights have started to take place of the midnight sun of summer, and that means that the northern lights become visible. We had our first tour of this season on August 26, and it started off with a bang! Hope this is an indicator of what's to come.

Update: Overnight Accommodations Under Constuction!

Since last summer, we have been working on our new overnight accommodation building, which will be adjacent to our existing main lodge. Just to clarify, Aurora Borealis Lodge CURRENTLY DOES NOT OFFER overnight accommodations. Rather, we offer evening aurora tours which you may see by clicking the "Tours & Prices" link to the left.

To give you a preview of what's to come, there will be 4-units (2 on the first floor, 2 on the second floor) with each room featuring the following: Big Windows to the north for optimum aurora viewing, 2 queen-size beds, private bathroom (shower, no tubs), kitchenette with compact fridge, cooktop, microwave, pots and plates, coffee machine. Since we're doing the construction mostly ourselves, it's been taking a little bit longer than some would expect. As of now (August 2007), we still can't announce a completion date, but you can be assured we will announce it as soon as we start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Hopefully in the near future.
